using your Farouk Ceraminc Chi Flat Iron

for CHI straight hair -- Insert about two inches of hair between the Farouk CHI FLAT IRON's ceramic plates. Squeeze the handles together and glide your hair slowly through from the roots to the ends.

for CHI soft curls -- Insert about two inches of hair between your CHI IRON's ceramic plates. Gently squeeze the handles together, and glide the CHI IRON to the ends, then wind your hair around the ceramic plates.

for a CHI flip out -- Insert a section of about two inches of hair between the Farouk CHI FLAT IRON's ceramic plates; squeeze the handles together. Slowly glide your hair through, starting at the roots, and flip the ends out slightly.

for a Chi flip in -- Insert about two inches of hair between the CHI HAIR IRON's ceramic plates. Squeeze the handles together; slowly glide your hair through, starting at the roots. Flip the ends in slightly.

In the past, to straighten hair, people used harsh metal irons. These worked, but would also often "over-cook," split & damage hair. The FAROUK CHI FLAT IRON was a welcome change. The CHI HAIR IRON by Farouk has CERAMIC PLATES, which emit infra-red heat. This is much less damaging to your hair than metal irons. And ceramic heats evenly to insure penetration of silk molecules into the hair, for a glossy, silky effect.

Fine or color-treated hair needs to be pressed at lower temperatures, while the Farouk iron needs to be hotter to effectively press coarse or curly hair. Make small partings no longer than the base of the Farouk CHI FLAT IRON itself, and comb through to detangle. The smaller the partings, the cleaner and straighter each of your sections will be. Then, use a slow pulling motion to get a smooth, silkening effect.

COARSE HAIR TEXTURE
Each hair strand has a thick and substantial texture, and isn't delicate or wispy. It's hard to run a brush through hair that's coarsely textured, as the hair brush will seem to get stuck. ChiFlatIron to the rescue!
